Charging
If thetractor hasnotbeenput into useforanextended
periodoftime,chargethe batterywith anautomotive-
type 12-voltchargerfor a minimumof one hour atsix
amps.

unit with the dead battery.

procedure could cause sparking,
and the gas in either battery could
explode.
Cleaning
Cleanthe batteryby removingit fromthetractorand
washingwitha bakingsodaandwatersolution,If neces-
sary,scrapethe batteryterminalswitha wirebrushto
removedeposits,Coatterminalsandexposedwiringwith
greaseor petroleumielly to preventcorrosion,
