Leveling the Deck

Front To Rear
Thefrontof thecuttingdeckis supportedbya stabilizer
barthatcanadiustedto levelthedeckfromfrontto rear,
Thefrontof thedeckshouldbebetween1/4-inchand
3/8-inchlowerthanthe rearofthedeck,Adiustif
necessaryasfollows:
thatit isparallelwiththe tractor,
2, Measurethe distancefromthe frontof the bladetip to
thegroundandthe rearofthe bladetip tothe ground,
Thefirst measurementtakenshouldbebetween
1/4"and3/8" lessthanthe secondmeasurement,
Determinetheapproximatedistancenecessaryfor
properadiustmentandproceed,ifnecessary,to the
nextstep,
3, Locatetheiam nutandlocknutonthefrontsideof the
stabilizerbracket,SeeFigure14,Afterlooseningthe
iamnut:
Tightenthelocknutto raisethefrontofthe deck;
Loosenthe locknut tolowerthefrontof thedeck,
4, Retightenthe iamnut loosenedearlierwhenproper
adiustmentisachieved,

If thecutting deckappearstobemowingunevenly,aside
tosideadiustmentcanbeperformed,Adiustif necessary
asfollows:
1, Withthetractorparkedona firm,levelsurface,place
thedeckliftleverin thetop notch(highestposition)
androtatebothbladesso thattheyare perpendicular
withthetractor,
2, Measurethe distancefromthe outsideof the leftblade
tipto thegroundandthe distancefromtheoutsideof
therightbladetipto the ground,Bothmeasurements
takenshouldbeequal If they'renot,proceedtothe
nextstep,
3, Loosen,butdo NOTremove,the hexcapscrewon
theleftdeckhangerbracket,SeeFigure15,
4, Balancethe deckbyusingawrenchto turnthe
adiustmentgear(foundimmediatelybehindthehex
capscrewiust loosened)clockwise/uporcounter-
clockwise/down,Thedeckis properlybalancedwhen
bothbladetip measurementstakenearlierareequal,
5, Retightenthe hexcapscrewon theleftdeckhanger
bracketwhenproperadiustmentis achieved,
