  An MTD Snow Blower engine might run erratically due to several reasons: 1. Check if the engine is running on CHOKE; if so, move the choke control to the OFF position. 2. Stale fuel can cause issues; replace it with clean, fresh gasoline. 3. Water or dirt in the fuel system can also be a culprit; drain the fuel tank and refill with fresh fuel. 4. If the above steps don't resolve the issue, the carburetor might be out of adjustment. In this case, contact a Tecumseh Engine Service Center.
