6.11.1 Engine oil filter – Replacement
Preconditions
☑ Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

WARNING
Hot oil.
Oil can contain combustion residues which are harmful to health.
Risk of injury and poisoning!
• Wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles / safety mask.
• Avoid contact with skin.
• Do not inhale oil vapor.
Engine oil filter – Replacement
1. Remove oil filter with filter wrench.
2. Clean the sealing surface on the oil filter
housing.
3. Check condition of the new sealing ring and
coat it with oil.
4. Screw on oil filter and tighten hand-tight.
5. Replace other oil filters in the same way.
6. After each oil change and filter replace‐
ment, bar engine with starting system
(→ Page 42).
7. Check oil level (→ Page 69).
