What to do if Napoleon Grill infrared burner flashes back?
- AAlexander KimSep 2, 2025
If the infrared burner on your Napoleon grill flashes back (makes a loud 'whoosh' sound, followed by a blow-torch type sound and grows dim), take these steps: * Turn the burner off and let it cool for at least two minutes. Then, relight it and burn it on high for at least five minutes, or until the ceramic tiles are evenly glowing red. * Make sure that objects or accessories cover no more than 75% of the grill surface. * Inspect the ceramic tiles for cracks after the burner has cooled. If you find any cracks, contact your authorized Napoleon dealer to order a replacement burner assembly.
