4.13 Switching off
Narda NBM-520 37
Instrument settings during remote
control operation with NBM-TS or with
NBM-550 as the controller
NBM-520 instrument settings are not changed in either of
these remote control modes. While operating remotely, the
instrument also displays the results in the measurement
mode and the unit that were set before activating remote
control operation. This ensures that the NBM-520 always
remains correctly configured.
Example: The NBM-520 is remotely controlled via the
NBM-550. On NBM-550, the result type Average with 6
min. averaging time was set. The measuring results are cor-
rectly displayed in V/m.
The NBM-520 simultaneously displays completely different
values because it was set to MAXimum and W/m
2
. Both
displays are correct - there are no errors.
Note: Normal remote control via NBM remote control commands
differs from the behavior described above. All settings that
are active in the instrument and in the display will be shown
then.
