. Use this for adjusting recording
levels and for DVS systems without automatic input adjustment.
Software Lock
Click on softwAre lock to disable any action of the iNput moDe switch on the front
panel of the AUDIO 8 DJ. Activating this prevents accidental switching of the iNput
moDe in a live situation. It is lit red if active.
Ground Lift
Click on grouND lift to separate the screens of the connected audio cables from
the chassis ground of the AUDIO 8 DJ. The default setting is off, which means the
cable screen is connected to the chassis ground.
7.2 Understanding the Control Panel
This chapter will introduce you to the Control Panel and its settings.
7.2.1 The Control Panel on Windows
On a Windows PC, the Control Panel allows you to change the performance settings
of the AUDIO 8 DJ. To open the Control Panel, click on “Start” > All Programs”
> “Native Instruments” > “Audio 8 DJ Driver” > “Control Panel”.
