AUDIO 8 DJ – 28
Soundcard Latency Settings
Audio signals going into your computer via the AUDIO 8 DJ have to be buffered in
order to avoid clicks, dropouts and other audible interruptions of the audio stream.
The same is true for the signals going back from the computer to the AUDIO 8 DJ.
Every buffer is actually a small RAM partition that is used for temporarily storing
the audio data. Buffering the audio stream introduces an amount of delay (called
latency) into the audio path that depends on the selected buffer size. In this section
of the AUDIO 8 DJ Control Panel you can set the size of the buffers (and thereby
the amount of latency).
presets: Select a preset that has already precongured values for the usB and
the AuDio Buffer size. Choosing User dened Settings allows you to set an usB
Buffer size independently from the AuDio Buffer size.
usB Buffer size: If you have selected User dened Settings, you can choose
an usB Buffer size value here. Available values are 1, 2, 3, 4, 8 and 16 ms.
