Thirtysecondsbeforeengineshutdown,theIDLESHUTDOWN
indicatorilluminates.Thiscontinuesuntiltheengineshutsdown
orthelowidleshutdowntimerisreset.Theenginemustbeoutof
gearfortheISTtowork.Engineshutdowntimerwilldeactivate
foroneormoreofthefollowingconditions:
•Enginespeedisnotatidlespeed(700rpm).
•VehiclemovementoraVehicleSpeedSensor(VSS)fault
isdetected.
•ManualDPFRegenerationisenabled(ParkedRegen).
•AcceleratorpedalmovementoranAcceleratorPedal
Sensor(APS)faultisdetected.
•Enginecoolantoperatingtemperatureisbelow16°C(60
°F).
•Brakepedalmovementorabrakeswitchfaultisdetected.
•Parkingbraketransitionisdetected.
•Clutchpedalispressedorclutchpedalswitchfaultis
detected(manualtransmissions,ifequippedwithaclutch
switch).
•Shiftselectorismovedfromneutral(automatic
transmissions).
•IftheISTisenabled,theColdAmbientProtection(CAP)
willnotfunction.
