Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) Ind icator (cont.)
Level Two
The DPF indicator will be ashing indicating the exhaust lter
is full. The vehicle should be safely pulled off the roadway
and parked. Start the Parked Regeneration process to prevent
loss of engine power. The lamp will stop ashing when the
regeneration process is complete. For additional information
see the applicable Vehicle Operator Manual.
Level Three
WARNING: Pull vehicle safely off roadway and start
Parked Regeneration to prevent engine stopping.
The DPF indicator will be ashing and an alarm will beep
continuou s ly while the ignition is on. This in dicates the exha ust
lter is fu ll and engine performance is limited. Pull the vehic le
safely off the roadway and start Parked Regeneration process
to prevent the engine from stopping. For additional information
see the applicable Vehicle Operator Manual.
Malfunction Indicator Lamp

The M AL F UNC TIO N INDICATOR LAMP (MIL) illuminates to
notify the vehicle operator that the em i ssio ns system has a
malfunction . Or illumin ates to notify the vehic le ope r ator t
hat the
ECM sys tem has conrmed that a malfunction exists. It will a
lso
stay on for a set number of trips if the fault is no longer a
ctive.
It is safe to drive the vehicle, however contact you a
uthorized
service provider immediately to have the problem
corrected.
