CHAPTER 2 GENERAL INFORMATION FOR DRU
1. GENERAL
This chapter explains the outline of the functions of the DRU, the system components, and loop-back test func-
tions.
2. SYSTEM OUTLINE
2.1 Purpose of the DRU
The DRU is a system which extends and decentralizes the Line Circuits (LC/DLC/ELC), which have so far
been accommodated in the PIM of the NEAX2400 IMS, using the digital line interface. Figure 2-1 shows
the outline of the NEAX2400 IMS when the DRU is used.
