The unit will now open and close the FCV 3 mes and then leave the FCV in its closed
posion. Aer the last cleaning cycle, the unit returns to Running mode and waits for the
pilot signal to stop. It is possible to perform mulple lter cleaning cycles in Running mode.
When the pilot signal stops, the unit runs for 10 seconds (DIR me) and then opens the FCV
and goes into idling mode. The unit waits for a pilot signal for 12 minutes. If the pilot signal
is not received during this me, the unit will stop the motor and go into Standby mode.
The idling me is set by the SSR mer and default is 12 minutes. DIR me is the delay aer
the pilot signal has stopped before opening the FCV. The default is 10 seconds.
8.4 Filter cleaning valve funcon
The PLC output DO3 is set and sends +24 V to the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve opens
the air ow to the pneumac piston, which moves the lid on top of the lter upwards
leng in air with atmospheric pressure to the lter top. This sudden opening of the lid on
the top lets in air with great speed which creates a sudden pressure rise above the lters.
The pressure increase blows air through the lter bags removing the dust from the lters.
When power to the solenoid valve disappears, the valve closes and evacuates the
pneumac piston. The lid falls down and closes the opening of the lter top.
If the piston does not fall down, the piston may not evacuate properly. If the incoming
compressed air is disconnected, the piston should fall down allowing the lid to close the
lter top opening.
9 Maintenance
Maintenance work means that the equipment will have to be opened and possibly
dismantled. This may constute a risk and the maintenance personnel need to know about
the risks that may occur when acng incorrectly.
WARNING! Explosion risk.
Stop operaon and clean the enre lter thoroughly from dust before any grinding,
welding or other hot works are performed on the lter exterior or inlet.
WARNING! Risk of personal injury.
Always use an approved breathing mask, goggles and gloves when replacing the dust
sack and other work that involves exposure to dust.
The motor, fan and air duct may become very hot during operaon.
Use ear protecon when the unit is in operaon and work is carried out in the vicinity of
the upper secon of the dust collector.
Always disconnect the supply voltage with the maintenance switch before any service,
whether mechanical or electrical.
Always lock the maintenance switch in the o posion and, if possible, secure with a
padlock.
Always disconnect the compressed air supply before any service, whether mechanical or
electrical.
CAUTION! Risk of equipment damage.
During maintenance, it may be necessary to remove the acousc enclosure over the motor
while the motor is in operaon. Take care to prevent objects from falling down into the
motor cooling fan.
NOTE! Contact Nederman if the frequency converter needs service.
