To configure the ping monitor type:
Select the Edit button corresponding to the eth.0 interface.

Use the Monitoring method drop down list to select Ping.

In the First destination address field, enter a website address or IP address to which the router should send the first round
of ping requests.
In the Second destination address field, enter a website address or IP address to which the router should send the second
round of ping requests.
In the Periodic Ping timer field, enter an integer between 3 and 65535 for the number of seconds the router should wait
between ping attempts.
In the Retry timer field, enter an integer between 2 and 65535 for the number of seconds the router should wait between
retry ping attempts, i.e. pings to the second destination address.
Using the consecutive error monitor
This is used to watch for consecutive ping events which fail or succeed to determine the reliability of the interface. This
method may be used on conjunction with the periodic ratio monitor. When both methods are used, the first method to
meet the conditions will cause failover/failback.
In the Fail /success count field, enter an integer between 3 and 65535 for the number of consecutive times a retry ping
should fail before the router fails over to the next WAN interface. Click the Back button.
