hardhorizontalareashallbepreparedasoperatingbase
forthemachine.Neverworkonslopessteeperthen10°.
Travelalongslopesupto20°isallowedonlytoreach
aspecicworkarea.Referto“Machinetravel-Pre-
cautionsfortravellingonslopes”inordertounderstand
properoperatingpracticesandprecautionsfortraveling
alongslopes.
NOTICE:Themachinegradeabilityis30°(58%).Never
operatetheenginewhentheinclineofthemachineis30°
ormore.Theengineorthehydraulicsystemmaybedam-
aged.
Workwiththeundercarriageorientedalongtheslope,
neveracross.Alwayskeepthetravelreductiongears
pointingdowntowardsthebottomoftheslope.Lower
andindentthebladeintotheground.
Makesuretodeneasafeworkingareaaroundthema-
chine,whichshallbeequaltothemaximumreachofthe
frontequipmentplus2m(6.6ft).Itisrecommendedto
haveasupplementaryguidingoperatoronthegroundout
ofthesafeworkingarea,inordertoprovideproperindi-
cationsandpromptwarningstothemachineoperator.
Maintainthemaximumenginespeed.
Makesurethatthelowspeedtravelmodeisselected.
Operatethecontrolleverssmoothlyinordertoprevent
suddenmovementsthatmaycausethemachinetoslip
ortipover.
Avoidfullboomraising,aswellasswingoperationto-
wardsthebottomoftheslopewiththebucketloaded,or
swingoperationwithanyheavyattachmentinstalled,in
ordernottoaffectthebalanceofthemachine.
