Whenevercarryingoutaweldingoperationontheundercarriageorupper-structurecarriageasauthorizedbyNEW
HOLLANDCONSTRUCTIONandinaccordancewiththeirinstructions,disconnectthebatteries,disconnecttheal-
ternatorB+,D+terminalwires,andtheinstrumentclusterconnectorandconnecttheweldingapparatusgroundcable
tothecomponentonwhichtheweldingoperationistobeperformed.Neverconnecttheweldingapparatustothe
undercarriagewhenweldingontheupper-structure(orvice-versa).Neverconnecttheweldingapparatusgroundto
acomponentofthehydraulicsystem.
Toavoiddamagetotheelectronic/electricalsystems,
alwaysobservethefollowing:
•
Nevermakeorbreakanyofthechargingcircuitcon-
nections,includingthebatteryconnections,whenthe
engineisrunning.
•
Nevershortanyofthechargingcomponentstoground.
•
MakesuretosetthebatterydisconnectswitchtoOpo-
sition(OFFposition)inadvanceorcut-offtheconnec-
tionofthegroundcablewhenexecutingarcweldingto
themachine.
•
Alwaysdisconnectthenegativecablefromthebattery
whenchargingthebatteryinthemachinewithabattery
charger.
NOTICE:positiontheweldergroundclampasclosetothe
weldingareaaspossible.Ifweldingincloseproximityto
acomputermodule,thenthemoduleshouldberemoved
fromthemachine.Neverallowweldingcablestolayon,
nearoracrossanyelectricalwiringorelectroniccompo-
nentwhileweldingisinprogress.
NOTICE:ifweldingmustbeperformedontheunit,either
themachine,thebatterygroundcablemustbediscon-
nectedfromthemachinebattery.Theelectronicmonitor-
ingsystemandchargingsystemwillbedamagedifthisis
notdone.
