HOLLANDCONSTRUCTIONmachineasintendedand
undertheconditionsforeseenbyNEWHOLLANDCON-
STRUCTIONduringnormaloperation,routineservice,
andmaintenance.
Thismanualdoesnotcontainalltheinformationthatre-
latestoperiodicservice,conversions,andrepairsthat
onlytrainedservicepersonnelcanperform.Someof
theseactivitiesmayrequireappropriatefacilities,techni-
calskills,and/ortoolsthatNEWHOLLANDCONSTRUC-
TIONdoesnotsupplywiththemachine.

Normaloperationconsistsoftheuseofthismachinefor
thepurposeNEWHOLLANDCONSTRUCTIONintends
byanoperatorthat:

Complieswiththeinformationonoperationandsafe
practicesasspeciedbyNEWHOLLANDCON-
STRUCTIONinthismanualandbythesignsonthe
machine

Additionandremovalofballast
•
Connectionanddisconnectionofmountedequipment
and/ortowedequipment

Adjustmentandcongurationofthemachineand

Routineserviceandmaintenance
Routineserviceandmaintenanceconsistsofthedaily
activitiesnecessarytomaintainthepropermachine
function.Theoperatormust:

Befamiliarwiththemachinecharacteristics
•
Complywiththeinformationonroutineserviceand
safepracticesasspeciedbyNEWHOLLANDCON-
STRUCTIONinthismanualandbythesignsonthe
machine
Routineservicecaninclude:
•
Fueling
•
Cleaning
•
Washing
•
Toppingupuidlevels
•
Greasing
•
Replacingconsumableitemssuchaslightbulbs
Periodicservice,conversions,andrepairs
Periodicserviceconsistsofactivitiesthatarenecessary
tomaintaintheexpectedlifeoftheNEWHOLLANDCON-
STRUCTIONmachine.Theseactivitieshavedenedin-
tervals.
Trainedservicepersonnelfamiliarwiththemachinechar-
acteristicsmustperformtheseactivitiesatthedened
intervals.Trainedservicepersonnelmustcomplywith
theinformationonperiodicserviceandsafepracticesas
partlyspeciedbyNEWHOLLANDCONSTRUCTIONin
thismanualand/orothercompanyliterature.
Periodicserviceincludes:

Oilchangeservicefortheengine,hydrauliccircuits,or
transmission
•
Periodicexchangeofothersubstancesorcomponents
asrequired
ConversionactivitiesrebuildtheNEWHOLLAND
CONSTRUCTIONmachineinacongurationthatis
appropriateforaspecicjobsite,crop,and/orsoil
conditions.Conversionactivitiesmustbedone:

Bytrainedservicepersonnelfamiliarwiththemachine
characteristics
•
Bytrainedservicepersonnelthatcomplywiththeinfor-
mationonconversionaspartlyspeciedbyNEWHOL-
LANDCONSTRUCTIONinthismanual,assemblyin-
structions,and/orothercompanyliterature
RepairactivitiesrestoreproperfunctiontoaNEWHOL-
LANDCONSTRUCTIONmachineafterafailureordegra-
dationofperformance.Dismantlingactivitiesoccurduring
thescrappingand/ordismantlingofthemachine.
Trainedservicepersonnelfamiliarwiththemachinechar-
acteristicsmustperformtheseactivities.Trainedservice
personnelmustcomplywiththeinformationforrepairas
speciedbyNEWHOLLANDCONSTRUCTIONinthe
servicemanual.
