Infrared Control
IR Commands are not getting routed to
specific Source Components
a)Emitters must be plugged into the specific
IR output jack for the device being controlled.
(Input 1, emitter jack 1 etc.)
b)Is emitter attached to the IR eye of the
device being controlled and connected to C-6
Controller?
c)Are IR commands programmed for the
device being controlled?
No IR output on C-6 In Expanded Systems
(When using X-1 and X-2 Expansion
Controllers)
a)Check connection of 52 pin expansion
cable.
b)Are Keypads properly connected? Check
polarity.
R-1 Remote does not Control Source
Components
Be sure IR commands have been properly
programmed by source and by remote/keypad
button.
Source does not respond to IR Command
output by C-6 Controller
a)Is emitter attached to the IR eye of the
device being controlled and connected to C-6
Controller?
b)Check to be sure proper IR command has
been programmed to a button.
RS-232 Control
C-6 does not Respond to RS-232 Commands
from control device
a)Is control device ON?
b) Is control device connected with a DB9
Serial cable? (NOT NULL)
c)Is control device properly configured to
send/receive?
d)Are ASCII text commands properly entered
in control device?
e)See Instructions section RS-232.
