level output is adapted to line level and fed into a local amplifier. Speaker connections from the
amplifier to the zone speakers are standard configuration.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The following describes basic system operation using K-8 and K-22 Keypads using system
default programming and suggested IR programming. All functions described can be controlled
using the R-1 Remote, provided system is properly setup.
ON/OFF, Source Select, Volume
Press POWER to turn a Zone ON.
Press SELECT to choose a Source.
Press ▲ or ▼ to adjust VOLUME UP or DOWN.
Press POWER to turn a Zone OFF.
Press and Hold POWER to turn ALL ZONES OFF.
Tone Controls
Press and Hold SELECT on a Keypad for 5 seconds. Release button.
Press ▲ or ▼ on Keypad to select Treble, Mid or Bass.
Press ◄◄ or ►► adjust.
Press POWER button to exit Tone Control Setup.
Tuner
Press NEXT to select the next Tuner Preset.
Press ◄◄ or ►► to select the previous or next Tuner Preset.
Press 1-9 to select Tuner Presets 1-9 (K-22 Keypad)
Press 1+0 to select Tuner Preset 10. (K-22 Keypad)
CD, DVD, VCR, MP3 etc
Press SELECT to choose a Source.
Press PLAY to start a device such as a CD or DVD player or VCR.
Press NEXT to select next track (or disc) as programmed. Both are options.
Press ◄◄ or ►► to select previous or next track or disc as programmed.
Press numeric buttons + TRACK to select a specific track. (K-22 Keypad)
Press numeric buttons + DISC to select a specific disc. (K-22 Keypad) (Requires using a disc
changer.)
Use R-1 Remote to navigate Menus.
Satellite, Cable, XM, Sirius, VCR Tuner Etc
Press SELECT to choose a Source.
Press ◄◄ or ►► to change frequencies up or down to select stations.
Press numeric buttons for direct access to stations. (K-22 Keypad)
Press PLAY for ‘enter’ if necessary, if programmed. Optional.
Use R-1 Remote to navigate Menus.
Group (K-22 Keypad only)
Press GROUP to enter Group Mode.
Press 1 to setup a NEW GROUP.
1. Press two digit zone numbers (01 = Zone 1, 11 = Zone 11 etc) to select the zones to be
grouped.
2. Press GROUP to link Zones. Or…
Press GROUP to enter Group Mode.
Press 2 to reestablish the last Group used.
Press 3 to exit Group.
