satellite remote to the number buttons on the C6, as these IR commands will be used in our
macros.
Step 2.
Now that we have taught all the necessary IR commands to the C6 we can start to create the
macro. As an example, we want button ‘1’ on the K22 to recall channel 912 on the satellite
receiver;
- Press the menu button on the C6 and select the menu option called Macros using ▼ on
the navigation array, then press enter.
- Select the input we are going to assign macros to with ▲ or ▼ buttons. In this case, input
1 is already selected for us.
- Press ► on the Navigation Array to highlight KEY, and then press ‘1’ on the built in
keypad of the C6. ‘Num 1’ will display under KEY showing us which key we are assigning
the macro to.
- Press ► on the Navigation Array again to highlight MACRO and press the numbers 9 1 2
on the built in keypad. If you make a mistake, press ◄ to backspace.
- Press the Enter key on the navigation array to save the macro.
- Keep entering macros for other presets if you so desire.
When you are finished entering macros, press the menu button. You will see another screen
appear to adjust the macro delay. This is the amount of time the system waits in between sending
out the individual IR commands in all macros. It should be left at its default value of 0.3 seconds
unless you have reason to change it. To change the delay, use the ▲ or ▼ buttons and then
press the enter key. To exit without changing the delay, press the menu key.
That’s all there is to creating macros. Now when you are listening to the satellite, you can call up
channel 912 simply by pressing number 1 on the keypad.
Erasing Macros
If you want to erase any macros you have created, call up the saved macro in the menu, highlight
the word MACRO, then use ▲ or ▼ to erase the macro, and then press enter to save your
changes. Specific instructions follow:

keypad of the C6 for the macro key you want to erase. Alternatively at this stage you can
