example

how
to
pan the camera
is
shown below. With-
out
changing your position, pan the camera in a steady curve
either
horizontally
or
vertically. Time the pan according
to
the
option
selected for
Image
size
in the shooting menu:
about
15
seconds are needed
to
complete
the
pan when
~o
Normal panorama
is
selected, about
30
seconds when
~::wr~E
Wide panorama
is
selected.
Ill
Panoramas
High-distortion
wide-angle
lenses
may fail
to produce the desired
results.
An
error message
will
be
displayed
if
the camera
is
panned too
quickly
or
unsteadily.
The
completed
panorama will
be
slightly smaller than the
area
visible
in the
display
during shooting.
No
panorama
will
be
recorded
if
shoot-
ing ends before the halfway point;
if
shooting ends after the
halfway
point
but
before the panorama
is
complete, the unrecorded portion
will
be
shown in gray.
