About your phone
• ABOUT THE ANTENNAS
Your phone is equipped with two
antennas. The internal antenna is
always active. The whip antenna is
activated when the whip antenna is
fully extended.
As with any other radio transmitting
device, do not touch either of the two
antennas unnecessarily when the phone is
switched on. Contact with the antenna
affects call quality and may cause the phone
to operate at a higher power level than
otherwise needed. Not touching the antenna
area during a phone call optimizes the
antenna performance and the talk time of
your phone.
While in a call, hold the phone to your ear, placing your finger tips on the
Nokia badge at the mid-center of the back cover (located below the
antenna area on the back of your phone).
