Calls
Make a call
1 Enter the phone number, including the area code.
For international calls, press * twice for the 
international prefix (the + character replaces the 
international access code), enter the country code, the 
area code without the leading 0, if necessary, and the 
phone number.
2 To call the number, press the call key.
To adjust the volume in a call, press the volume key up 
or down.
3 To end the call or to cancel the call attempt, press the 
end key, or close the phone.
For a shortcut to recently dialled numbers, press the call 
key once in the standby mode. To call the number, select a 
number or name, and press the call key.
Answer or reject a voice call
To answer a call, press the call key. To end the call, press 
the end key.
To reject a call, press the end key.
To mute the ringing tone, select Silence. Then answer or 
reject the call.
Speed dialling
Assign a phone number to one of the speed dialling keys, 
2-9. See "Speed dialling", p. 33. Call the number in either 
of the following ways:
• Press a speed-dialling key, then the call key.
• If speed dialling is activated, press and hold a speed 
dialling key until the call begins. See Speed dialling in 
"Call", p. 40.
Enhanced voice dialling
Voice dialling allows you to make a call by saying a name 
in the contact list. Voice commands are not language-
dependent. To set the language, see Recognition lang. in 
"Phone", p. 41.
Note: Using voice tags may be difficult in a noisy 
environment or during an emergency, so do not 
rely solely upon voice dialling.
