      First, ensure the power cord of your NordicTrack Treadmill is properly plugged into a grounded outlet. If you need an extension cord, use a 3-conductor, 14-gauge (1 mm[2]) cord no longer than 5 ft. (1.5 m). Next, make sure the key is fully inserted into the console. Finally, check the power switch on the treadmill frame near the power cord. If it's sticking out, wait five minutes, then press it back in to reset it.

      If your NordicTrack Treadmill loses power during use, check the power switch and reset it if it has tripped by waiting five minutes and then pressing the switch back in. Also, ensure the power cord is securely plugged in; unplug it, wait five minutes, and plug it back in. Finally, remove and reinsert the key into the console.

      To address a walking belt that slows down when walked on your NordicTrack Treadmill, use only a 3-conductor, 14-gauge (1 mm[2]) extension cord that is no longer than 5 ft. (1.5 m) if an extension cord is needed. If the walking belt is overtightened, remove the key and unplug the power cord. Then, use the hex key to turn both idler roller bolts counterclockwise 1/4 of a turn.

      To recalibrate the incline on your NordicTrack Treadmill, hold down the Stop button and the Speed increase button, insert the key into the console, and then release both buttons. Press the Stop button, then press the Incline increase or decrease button. The treadmill will rise to the maximum incline and then return to the minimum level. If it doesn’t calibrate, press the Stop button again, then press the Incline increase or decrease button again. Finally, remove the key.

      If the walking belt on your NordicTrack Treadmill is off-center, remove the key and unplug the power cord. If the belt has shifted left, turn the left idler roller bolt clockwise 1/2 turn with the hex key. If it has shifted right, turn the left idler roller bolt counterclockwise 1/2 turn. If the belt slips, unplug the treadmill, remove the key, and turn both idler roller bolts clockwise 1/4 turn.

      If the console displays on your NordicTrack Treadmill remain lit after removing the key, the demo mode is likely activated. To deactivate it, press and hold the Stop button for a few seconds.
