CHAPTER 5
Setting Up for Operation
The Vectrino software program has been designed to set up and read back data
acquired by the Vectrino.
Confi guration
To confi gure your Vectrino velocimeter:

Connect the Vectrino to power and to the COM port of the PC.
2 Start the Vectrino software.
3 Select Data collection > Confi guration followed by Use existing, Load from
fi le
or Load from instrument, depending on which setting you would like to
start from when editing the confi guration.
4 This will produce the Confi guration settings pane, as shown overleaf. The
actual settings may differ from the pane shown. Each user controllable part
of the pane is explained below.
The Vectrino comes in two fl avours; Vectrino and Vectrino
. The latter provides
a wider range for some the settings than the standard version does.
