3.6.2. Zone Disablement
Zones configured on the addressable loop(s) may be disabled and enabled. A disabled zone will not report
any events (alarms or faults) from connected devices. However, audio/visual alarm devices connected to the
zone will remain operational. This function does not disable/enable audio/visual alarm devices (see 3.6.4).
To disable a zone configured on the addressable loop, take the following actions.
1) Enter Access Level 2.
2) Press the
and
buttons to step through the zones. The status of the zone will be displayed to the
right of the zone number (ENABLED or DISABLED).
3) Press the
button to move the cursor to the zone status.
4) Press the
or
buttons to toggle between the enabled and disabled status.
5) Press the
button to confirm the selected status.
6) Press to return to the menu.
Disabled zones will be indicated on the LCD and can be reviewed using the DISABLE QUEUE REVIEW
function.
3.6.3. Loop Disablement
An individual addressable loop may be disabled or enabled. When disabled, no devices on the loop will report
fire or fault events and no outputs will activate. However, audio/visual alarm devices will continue to operate in
the Alarm Condition.
To disable an addressable loop, take the following actions.
1) Enter Access Level 2.
2) Press
+
and
–
buttons on the alpha-numeric keypad to select the desired addressable loop number.
3) Press the
and
buttons to select ENABLED or DISABLED conditions.
4) Press the
button to confirm the selection.
5) Repeat steps 2 ~ 4 for other loops.
6) When complete, press to return to the menu.
Disabled loops will be indicated on the LCD and can be reviewed using the DISABLE QUEUE REVIEW
function.
3.6.4. Audio/Visual Alarm Device Disablement
Audio/visual alarm devices connected to the addressable loop, or to the SNDR 1 or SNDR 2 outputs (for non-
addressable alarm devices) may be disabled or enabled. When disabled, alarm devices will not operate during
an Alarm Condition. However, disabled alarm devices will operate during an evacuation request. The status of
each alarm device is shown as:
D for disabled
E for enabled
To disable an audio/visual alarm device, take the following actions.
1) Enter Access Level 2.
2) Press the
button to move the cursor to the CONV field.
3) Press the
and
buttons to select “D” or “E” for SNDR 1 output.
4) Press the
button and then the
and
buttons to select “D” or “E” for SNDR 2 output.
5) Press the
button to confirm the selection. The cursor will move to addressable loop 1.
6) Press the
and
buttons to select “D” or “E”, and the
and
buttons for each of the
32 audio/visual devices.
7) Press the
button to confirm the selection. The cursor will move to the next loop.
8) Repeat step 6 for additional loops.
9) When complete, press to return to the menu.
Disabled devices will be indicated on the LCD and can be reviewed using the DISABLE QUEUE REVIEW
function.
