3.6.9. Fault Output Global Disablement
The fault output (including the fault relay output modules) may be disabled when the control and indicating
equipment enters the Fault Condition.
To disable all outputs, press the FAULT RELAY button. The FAULT RELAY LED and DISABLE status LED will
be on.
To re-enable all outputs, press the FAULT RELAY button. The FAULT RELAY LED and the DISABLE status
LED will be off.
3.6.10. Multiple Disablements
If more than one device is disabled, the QUEUE REVIEW DISABLE LED will flash. Press the DISABLE button
to scroll through the list of devices.
After 15 s, the LCD will revert to the previous display.
3.6.11. Re-enable Functions
To re-enable a disabled function, follow the steps above. The relevant LEDs will be off.
3.7. Test Condition
Tests of the control and indicating equipment and connected devices confirm the correct operation of the fire
detection and alarm system.
Tests cannot be conducted in the following circumstances.
In the Fire Alarm condition.
When the audio/visual alarms have been activated.
When the control and indicating equipment is in the INSTALLATION mode.
When the control and indicating equipment is in Access Level 4.
3.7.1. Indicator Test
In Access Level 1 or Access Level 2, press the LAMP TEST button. All visual indicators, segments on the LCD,
and the internal sounder will activate until the LAMP TEST button is released.
3.7.2. Initiating Device Test
When configured, initiating devices may be grouped into zones and tested using convenient testing functions.
Tests are conducted in Access Level 3 or Access Level 2 (if configured).
Initiating Device Tests by Zone
Zones can be selected for test. Testing is initiated in Access Level 3, and may be conducted in Access Levels 1,
2 or 3.
In test mode, when an initiating device is activated, any detector indicator will illuminate and the device will be
displayed on the LCD for 15 s. When the signal at the initiating device is less than the alarm threshold level,
the initiating device indicator will be off.
For testing convenience, audio/visual alarm devices may be configured to operate for 1 s when an initiating
device is tested using Menu Item 6-3.
The QUEUE REVIEW TEST button will show all zones in test mode.
To test a detection zone, undertake the following the steps.
1) Enter Access Level 2.
2) Select Menu ITEM 6-4
3) Press the

buttons to select the zone to be tested.
4) Press the
, button to enter or edit the zone description.
5) Press
. The cursor will move to the NORMAL FIRE OPERATING field.
