Purpose: Set the number on a maintenance
PCB when the EEPROM of the PU PCB
cannot be copied (e.g., I/F error). After the
serial number of a printer is rewritten with
new one, Factorydefault should be executed
to reflect the new one on the HDD of the
printer’s CU. See section 5.2.7 for executing
FactoryDefault.

mode
Switches between the Factory mode and the
Shipping mode.
Purpose: Set the mode on a maintenance
PCB when the EEPROM of the PU PCB
cannot be copied (e.g., I/F error). The
maintenance PCB is set in the Factory
mode by default and it has to be set into the
Shipping mode using this function.
