2.4.3 - Assembly of the air ducts and external grids
• Afterdrillingtheholes(withthecoredrill),inserttheplasticsheet(G)suppliedwiththeairconditioner
(g.11)insidethem.
 Sincethesheet(G)wasmadefor202mm(8”)holes,youwillhavetocutoff130mm(5,1”)fromthe
longsideofthesheetforthe162mm(6,4”)holes(g.11).
The sheets must be 65 mm (2,5”) shorter than the length of the wall.
• Rollthesheet(G)andinsertitintothehole,payingattentiontothesplicingline,which must always
face upwards. (g.12).
 Useanordinarycutterfortheforegoingoperation(g.12).
Topositiontheexternalgrids,proceedasfollows:
a. Applytheseal(F)tothewallange(D),ensuringitlinesupwiththeouteredgeoftheangeasindicated
inthegure13.
b. Fixthetwoangesusing2pegshavingadiameterof6mm(0,24”)andcheckthatthetwoxingholes
arehorizontal(g.14-15-16).
c. Fitthesmalleyeletofthespring,withthelongstem,onthecappin(onbothcomponents)(g.17).
d. Insertthetwocaps(withspring),onthefrontpartoftheexternalgrid,onitstwohousings,pullinguntil
itclicks(g.18)andcouplethetwochainstothelargeeyeletofthespring.
e. Usingonehand,gripthetwochainsconnectedtothegrid;
f. Bendtheexternalgridsback,grippingthemwithyourfreehandwheretheybend,andinsertyourngers
insidethesinglens(g.19).).
g. Insertyourarmintothepipeuntilthegridprotrudescompletelyoutwards.
h. Reopenthegrid,beingcarefultokeepyourngersinsidethens.
i. Turnthegriduntilthensarefullyhorizontalandtilteddownwards.
l. Pullthechain,tensioningthespring,andcouplethechainringtothepinoftheinnerangethrough
whichthepipespass(g.20).
m. Usehandshearstocutoffanyexcesschainlinks.
Use exclusively the supplied grids (E), or grids with like characteristics.
2.4.4 - Preparing the holes on the machine
IfØ200mm(7,8”)holesarebeingused,workasfollows:
a. If162mm(6,4”)pipesarebeingused,theremovaloperationofpartoftherearcovermustnotbeper-
formed.Thefanextensioncable(W)(g.21)mustberemoved.
b. Useplierstobreakthepreblankingoftherearcover(g.22-A).
c. Then,rotatethecoverparttoberemovedbackandforthwithyourhanduntilyoubreaktheremaining
preblankedpart(g.22-B).
d. Trimexcessiveinsulatingmaterialremainedinsidetheholeusinganutilityknife(g.22-B).
Therearcoverisalsosuitableforarectangularsuctionchannel.
Ifyoupreferthistypeofinstallation,breaktherectangularpreblankingshowning.23anduseasuction
grilleofasizesuitableforthesuctionchannel.
2.4.5 - Positioning of the device on the anchor brackets
Workingonthetwopreviouslydrilledholes(seeg.6),xthesupportbrackets(L)tothewallusingthe
suppliedwallplugsscrews(H)(g.24).
Afterchecking.......
