Inspection of the single use adapter biopsy valve (MAJ-1414)
• The single use adapter biopsy valve (MAJ-1414) is provided
in a sterile condition. Do not open the package until you are
ready to use it.
• Do not use the instrument after the expiration date displayed
on the sterile package. Doing so may pose an
infection-control risk.
• Do not attempt to reuse or sterilize the single use adapter
biopsy valve (MAJ-1414). Doing so could pose an
infection-control risk or cause equipment damage.
This single use adapter biopsy valve (MAJ-1414) is designed
for use with the single use aspiration needle
(NA-201SX-4022).
1. Inspect the sterile package for tears, inadequate sealing, or water damage.
If the sterile package shows any irregularity, the sterile condition of the
instrument may have been compromised. Use a spare instead.
2. Inspect the biopsy valve for cracks or other damage (see Figure 3.6).
