be reinstalled onto the stand and put back into service
(see Figure 57).

Servicing the New-Style Slide Mount (BHS/BHT)
This section applies only to the newer style assembly
(see Figure 49). The older style assembly is covered in
the previous section.
Disassemble the New-Style Slide Mount (BHS/BHT)
Using a suitable slotted screwdriver, loosen and remove
the stop screw for the nosepiece slide-mount locking
block (see Figure 58).

Using a suitable slotted screwdriver, loosen and remove
the pivot screw for the nosepiece slide-mount locking
block (see Figure 59).

Separate the locking block from the slide-mount base
(see Figure 60).

Clean Components of New-Style Slide Mount (BHS/BHT)
Using a cotton swab and a suitable solvent (acetone),
thoroughly clean the nosepiece slide-mount base,
paying special attention to the surface upon which the
locking block slides and the dovetail bearing surfaces.
