Remove the lens cap.
2 Turn the mode dial and select the
mode you wish to use from P

3 Turn the power switch to the ON
position.
• The power turns on and the lens extends when the
mode dial is set to any mode other than q.
• When the mode dial is set to q, the camera turns
on in the playback mode and the monitor turns on.
4 Turn the power switch to the OFF position.
• The monitor and the camera turn off.
