Problem Cause and recommended action
The noise is noticeable on
the image.

to ON again to restart the instrument.
The scope unit is not attached to the main unit correctly.
→ Attach the scope unit to the main unit properly.

<BEEP> in the <SYSTEM SETUP> menu is set to <OFF>.
Set <BEEP> in the <SYSTEM SETUP> menu to <ON>.
All functions stopped
during recording the
movies.
The SDHC card being used for image recording is not the one provided and is
not the one recommended by Olympus.
→ Remove the AC adapter or the battery from the main unit and turn OFF the
power.
→ Use the SDHC card for recording images provided as standard or the one
recommended by Olympus.
The stereo measurement
function does not start.
The combination of the stereo optical adapter and the stereo scope unit is not correct.
→ Check that the combination of Serial No. of the stereo optical adapter and
Serial No. of the stereo scope unit is correct.
The measurement result of
the scaler measurement is
not displayed.
The image acquired by unsupported software version (1.20 or before) is used.
→ Use the image acquired by the software version 1.20A or after.
Contact Olympus when you request repair of this instrument. Include a detailed description of
the malfunction and the conditions under which it occurs when returning the instrument.
Malfunctions that occur during the warranty period are repaired at no charge according to the
warranty agreement. Be sure to attach the warranty agreement when returning the instrument
for repairs. Repair will be charged if the warranty agreement is not attached. The freight fees
are paid by the user even if repairs are done free of charge.
Olympus will not repair an instrument contaminated by noxious substances.
