44 Basic operation
To turn ON the power, press the [POWER] button ( ) of the main unit approx. one second.
After pressing the [POWER] button ( approx. one second, the [POWER] indicator lights up
and the power turns on.
The display screen and menu operations become enabled approx. 35 seconds after the
[POWER] button ( ) is pressed.
Press the [POWER] button (
) of the main unit one second or longer.
When the system shuts down, the [POWER] indicator of the main unit and the indicator of the
[ANGLE SEL/CENTER] button of the LCD monitor are turned OFF automatically.
If you are using the remote control unit, the illumination of the button is turned OFF automati-
cally.

Pressing the [LIGHT] button ( ) turns ON or OFF the light.
While the light turns ON, the [LIGHT] indicator lights on.
4-2 Turning ON the light
The light intensity is adjusted depending on the brightness of the inspection object.
· Always turn OFF the [LIGHT] button (
) of the main unit when the instrument is not
in use, such as when replacing the optical adapter or attaching the hook assembly,
etc.
· Attaching the optical adapter will turn ON the light automatically. And, removing the
optical adapter will turn OFF the light automatically.
