3-3 Preparing the power supply
Open the battery cover.
Noting the orientation of the battery, insert it.
Make sure that the battery is locked and close the cover.
Confirm that the battery cover is locked completely.
· Be sure to recharge the battery before using it for the first time after purchase or after
it has not been used for a long period.
· In general, the battery performance is degraded as the ambient temperature drops.
Note that the battery performance degraded due to the low temperature recovers
when the temperature rises to a normal level.
· A full charge will provide approximately 100 minutes (in general) of continuous
operation. The actual operating time depends on the charging method, operating
environments or setting conditions of this instrument. It is recommended to prepare
multiple spare batteries if long hours of battery-powered operations are expected. The
normal battery charging time is approximately two hours and 30 minutes (in general).
· If the following message appears when you turn ON the power supply of this instrument,
the battery is warming up. Use this instrument after this message disappears.

Using the battery
The remaining battery power can be checked on the [POWER INDICATOR] of the battery. (Note
the remaining battery power shown on the LCD monitor is different from that shown on the
[POWER INDICATOR].)
While the [CHECK] button is being pressed, LED
(in 3 levels) that shows the charging status turns ON.
When {{{ lights: Almost fully charged.
When { lights: Need recharge.
