7.2. Oriental Motor Driver Setup
Set up Oriental Motor Driver.
7.2.1. Hardware Settings
Set the hardware switches on Driver and connect the cables.
Precautions for Correct Use
Make sure that the power supply is OFF when you set up.

Make sure that Driver is
powered OFF.
*If it is ON, the settings
described in the following steps
and subsequent procedures
may not be applicable.

Check the positions of the
hardware switches and the
connectors on Driver by
referring to the figure on the
right.

Set No.2 of Function setting
switch2 (SW5) to ON.
*The protocol for RS-485
communication is set as the
Modbus RTU protocol.
