I Controlling an Onkyo MD recorder
The r-'-iI connector of the Onkyo MD recorder must be connected to
the TX-SR701/701 E/601/601E (see page 24).
1. Press the SAT/MD MODE button.
The SAT/MD MODE bulton lights.
2. Press the desired operation button.
The buttons shaded in the figure to the left are the operation
bullons that can be used to control an Onkyo MD recoMer.
Operation buttons:
ON: 'Iurns on and off MD player (same as STANDBY hutton on
the remote controller)
[_3: 'I rack down
E_: 'h'ack up
[2>: Play
D: Stop
<_: Skip backwaM
[;_: Skip forwaM
REC Q: RecoM
[]: Pause
--.: Eiect
1 to 9, 0, -J---: Numeric keys
ENTER: Enters the settings
You may also use the following bullons:
VOL g/V: Adjusts volume at TX-SR701/7OIE/601/6OIE
MUTING: Activates muting function al TX-SR701/701E/601/601E
Note:
The SAT/MD hutton is used for operating satelfile tuners and
Onkyo MD recorders. Be aware that if you enler the preset code for
a satellite tuner as shown on page 65, then this button cannot be
used to operate Onkyo MD recorders.
If this is the case, to operale an Onkyo MD recorder, you must first
erase the satellite tuner code by following the directions given in
"Erasing all the commands programmed under a MODE button" on
page 72.
