Override multifeed detection The override MFD function allows the
operator to disable multifeed detection for thicker pieces that may not pass
through normally.
To trigger OpAssist, simply wave the document (or your hand) in front of the
sensor as shown in Figure 20. The indicator light will blink and an audible tone
will be heard, notifying you that OpAssist was activated. The document will be
scanned and sorted according to job and page type parameters.
Note: When using the Page Sub-Type Select OpAssist function, the operator
must select the sub-type before the document enters the scanner. If a
page sub-type is not selected, the document will be assigned the default
page sub-type. If no default page sub-type has been assigned, the
document will be rejected. For this reason, it may be best NOT to assign
a default page sub-type for the page type you use this OpAssist function
on.
