Insert the USB ash drive containing the contents of the Tools and Drivers CD into an available
USB port on the Sun Fire X2270 M2 Server.
Power on (or reboot) the Sun Fire X2270 M2 Server.
The BIOS screen appears.
In the BIOS screen, press F8 to specify a temporary boot device.
The Select Boot Device menu appears.
In the Boot Device menu, select the USB ash drive as the rst boot device, then press Enter.
Save the changes and exit the system BIOS.
The system automatically boots to the USB ash drive.
Navigate to the directory on the USB ash drive that contains the contents of the Tools and
Drivers CD.
In the terminal window, type the following command to run the recovery program:
-> run recovery.bat
When the recovery program is completed, disconnect the AC power connection from the server
for 30 seconds, then reconnect the AC power.
Because the default ILOM and BIOS settings are automatically loaded when the SP and BIOS
rmware is ashed, you might need to reset some of the ILOM and BIOS settings.
