8.3. Interlocks
The disconnector, circuit-breaker and earthing switch
are interlocked in accordance with section 5.11. of
Standard IEC 62271-200.
The disconnector actuating shafts are accessed via a
"selector switch" and the levers of both disconnectors can
only be inserted if the circuit-breaker is in open position. The
circuit-breaker can only be operated if all the disconnector
driving levers have previously been removed. Also, all
electrical operations are overridden if any of the levers has
been inserted in the driving shaft.
The circuit-breaker can only be connected in the end
positions (connected) of the disconnector or earthing
switch. There is also an eective earthing switch tted with
protection.
The cable compartment is only accessible with the earthing
switch and the circuit-breaker closed (eective earthing).
In functional units which incorporate fuses (protection by
means of a fuse-combination switch and busbar voltage
metering with disconnection and fuses), access to the
fuse compartment is interlocked with the corresponding
disconnector so that the compartment is only accessible
with the earthing switch in closed position.
