Figure 22 - Low Cutoff Amps
Figure 23 - MPPT Mode
Low Cutoff Amps: Sets the battery chargers lowest current limit that the
MX60 will allow to charge in MPPT mode before stopping and going back to
sleep. If the battery charge current goes below this setting for a time, the MX60
will go back to sleep.
The Low Cutoff Amps setting is also used in the Auto Sweep mode while doing
it’s initial wakeup sweep, to determine if it should snooze for 5 minutes if the
< Low cutoff snooze mode is selected.
MPPT Mode Select (Auto Sweep or U_Pick % Voc): Selects the basic MPPT mode
of the MX60.
Auto Sweep MPPT mode does a full panel sweep from Voc to near the battery voltage
upon wakeup and then does mini Auto Sweeps from that point on at the selected sweep
time interval. This is the default and preferred MPPT mode.
U_Pick % Voc MPPT mode operates the Panel MPP at a selectable percentage of the
open circuit panel voltage and acquires a new Voc value every Sweep Interval. The
MPP percentage is taken from the Park MPP setting. This mode is an alternative to
the Auto Sweep mode and can be used to verify the correct operation of the Auto
Sweep system and also be used for other applications such as fuel cells.
