Connecting to the remote operation panel (AK-HRP200G)
f You can remotely control some functions by connecting the remote operation panel AK-HRP200G (optional) via an IP connection.
f When you connect AK-HRP200G using a LAN cable and perform network settings of the camera and the AK-HRP200G, the camera automatically
enters the remote control mode. For the connection settings, refer to “Setting for connection with Remote Operation Panel (AK-HRP200G)”
(page 188).
f Turn the <AUTO/MANUAL> switch of the camera to <MANUAL>. Some items may not work in <AUTO> depending on the camera’s automatic
adjustment settings. In addition, when you perform zoom operations in AK-HRP200G, set the camera’s <ZOOM> switch in the <SERVO> position.
f You can exit the remote control mode by disconnecting from the network from the AK-HRP200G, or removing the network cable and switching the
camera’s power switch from <OFF> to <ON>.

Switch function in remote control mode
The following switches and buttons on the camera do not function in remote control mode.
f <MENU> button
f <SEL/PUSH SET> dial button
f <GAIN> switch
f <WHITE BAL> switch (works when set in the <A> position)
f <BARS> button
f Manual focus operation using the focus ring
f Switching between auto focus mode and manual focus mode using the <FOCUS> switch
f Motorized zoom operation of the zoom lever (grip side/handle side)
Recording and playback operations in remote control mode
Recording and playback operations cannot be performed from remote operation panel AK-HRP200G. You can only perform these operations from the
camera.
Remote control unit connected to the camera
When AK-HRP200G is connected to the camera, the AK-HRP200G button’s operations are as follows:
r Skin tone detail button (<SKINDTL>)
Operation varies depending on the lighting status of the button.
f When the button lights up, the operation follows the menu setting value of the camera (setting for skin tone detail).
f When the button lights off, the skin tone detail function is set to [OFF], regardless of the menu setting value of the camera.
After restarting the camera, the menu setting value is reected in AK-HRP200G.
r Knee OFF button (<KNEE OFF>)
Operation varies depending on the lighting status of the button.
f When the button lights up, the knee function is set to [OFF], regardless of the menu setting value of the camera.
f When the button lights off, the operation follows the menu setting value of the camera (setting for the knee function).
After restarting the camera, the menu setting value is reected in AK-HRP200G.
r Matrix button (<MATRIX>)
When the button lights up, the menu setting value of the camera is always applied (setting for matrix). The function cannot be turned [OFF] even if the
button is pressed.
After restarting the camera, the menu setting value is reected in AK-HRP200G.
r Scene le selection buttons (<SCENE1> - <SCENE4>)
Not supported.
r User le selection buttons (<USER1> - <USER3>)
You can select the camera’s scene le F1 to F3. F4 to F6 cannot be selected.
r R are/pedestal volume (<FLARE/PED R>), B are/pedestal volume (<FLARE/PED B>)
Flare adjustment is not supported. Works only with the pedestal.
r Adjusted value display area (4 digits)
Display of CC lter, zoom, and focus values are not supported.
