Advanced scene mode
Setting the Menu

Press [MENU/SET].
e.g.: The first page of the total 4 pages is
displayed.

• Rotate the zoom lever while selecting the
menu item to switch to the next/previous
page easily.
• The menu icons and the menu items that
are displayed differ depending on the
position of the mode dial.

: The [CUSTOM] mode is displayed.
Playback mode (P33)
This mode allows you to play back
recorded pictures.
Aperture-priority AE mode (P49)
The shutter speed is automatically
determined by the aperture value you set.
Shutter-priority AE mode (P50)
The aperture value is automatically
determined by the shutter speed you set.
Manual exposure mode (P50)
The exposure is adjusted by the aperture
value and the shutter speed which are
manually adjusted.
Custom mode (P55)
Use this mode to take pictures with
previously registered settings.
Motion picture mode (P65)
This mode allows you to record motion
pictures.
Print mode (P114)
Use this to print pictures.
Scene mode (P59)
This allows you to take pictures that match
the scene being recorded.
Portrait mode (P57)
Use this mode to take pictures of people.
Scenery mode (P57)
Use this mode to take pictures of scenery.
Sports mode (P58)
Use this mode to take pictures of sporting
events, etc.
Night portrait mode (P58)
Use this mode to take pictures of night
scenes and people with night time
scenery.

This is displayed when the mode dial is
