19.1. Replacement Edition
Please do away with the former Supplement Manuals (Order No.ODSD010844S0 and ODSD011156S0) and use this Supplement
Manuals instead of the former one.
19.2. Precautions in Replacing Optical Pick-Up
· There are two different types of optical pick-up, one with black-colored base (resin: RAF3022A-1) and the other with gray-
colored base (Zinc dicast: RAF3020A-1).
· When replacing the optical pick-up, check the base color first and then follow the procedure shown in the drawing below.<Fig.

19.4.1. Resin-base(black) Optical Pick-up
Should be replaced with the resin-base pick-up (RAF3022A-1).
(If the replacement resin-base Pick-up has a shaft spring, remove it.)
19.4.2. Zinc dicast-base(gray) Optical Pick-up
· Should be replaced with the optical pick-up kit (RAF3022AKIT).
