Recording operations

A Recording CDs
1 Press [CD 3/8] and then [STOP 7, –DEMO].
2 Press [PLAY MODE] to select your desired mode.
For 1-TRACK mode
Press [

For 1-ALBUM mode (MP3)
Press [ALBUM ( or )] to select the album.
For 1-DISC/1-RANDOM mode
Do steps 1 to 3 on page 13.
Ensure CD is stopped.
3 Press [/8 REC] to start recording.
To record programmed tracks
This function allows you to record up to 24 programmed tracks.
1 Program the track(s) you want.

2 Press [/8 REC] to start recording.
B Auto-off function
To save power, the unit turns off if it is left unused for 10 minutes.
This function works only if CD or tape is selected as the source.
This function does not work if the source is tuner or AUX.
Press [SHIFT] + [AUTO OFF].
AUTO OFF is shown on the display.
To cancel
Press [SHIFT] + [AUTO OFF] again to clear AUTO OFF from
the display.
For your reference
The setting is maintained even if the unit is turned off. When
the unit is turned on again, AUTO OFF is displayed and the
unit functions as described above.
AUTO OFF disappears from the display if either tuner or AUX
is selected as the source but continues to function normally.
