6. Complete the cell drying process.
6.1 After 24 hours, visually inspect the cell:
• If you see any moisture inside the cell, allow it to continue air-drying.
Do not proceed until the cell looks completely dry.
• If you see any pill residue inside the cell, repeat the cleaning procedure
(from step 1.15).
Note According to Bureau Veritas, an accredited, international health, safety, and
environmental services firm, this cleaning process is within safety standards
accepted in pharmaceutical manufacturing, and supports patient safety for
prescriptions dispensed using the Parata Max and Mini.
Under certain conditions, however, it is possible that you still may see pill
residue inside the cell, even after the second cleaning. If any residue remains
in the cell, or if, for any reason, you are not comfortable with the cleanliness
of the cell, discard the cell and order a new cell.

If the cell looks completely dry, continue to step 6.2.
6.2 Dispose of the used drying cloth according to pharmacy policy.
6.3 Slide the baffle adjuster up to the #5 setting.
6.4 Open the cell door.
Note For a locking cell:
1. Verify that you have removed the stem cap as directed in step 3.12.
2. Insert the cell into the Mini and unlock the cell door.
3. Remove the cell and open the unlocked cell door; then continue with the next
step.
CAUTION
The cell must be completely dry before it is inserted in the
unit to prevent electrical damage.
CAUTION
If left on, the stem cap could damage the coupler on the
manifold in the unit.
