Typical cyclogram of the 2-stroke button mode (TIG DC/2T)
In modern handheld TIG welding torches, there is a button to control the welding
process, which is connected to the device. Consider the two modes:
- 2-stroke mode: There is purging before welding and smooth increase of
current to the set value for the time Tp. After releasing the button, the set current
smoothly decreases to the completion current in the time Ts. Then the purging after
welding takes place.
