FUNCTION TRIMPOTS
Vad: Voltage adjustment. Rotating clockwise increases the voltage;
Stb: Stability adjustment. Rotating clockwise makes the faster response;
Drp: Droop adjustment. Rotating clockwise increases the reagent compensation range;
Note: The trimpot Stb is responsible for the dynamic adjustment of the PI controller. Turning
clockwise leaves the response to the system faster, but takes control to a region of instability. And
turning it counter-clockwise slows down the system response, which ensures zero error, bringing
control to a region of stability.
The setting of the trimpot Stb is done with the generator running empty (no load) with the trimpot
Stb all clockwise, turn slowly counterclockwise until the output voltage of the generator is stable and
leave at this point because it will be the the best dynamic response that can be obtained.
