MASTER
Chapter 5: Controller Functions
The Percussion control knob adjusts frequency of
pulses at a xed i:e ratio.
Controls the rate of high frequency volumes
delivered.
Ranges from 100 up to above 300 cycles per
minute.
Aects peak and mean airway pressure.
The Master Switch turns the controller device
ON and OFF.
The patient receives TRUE-IPV® therapy when the
Master Switch is in ON position.
Manual Inspiration button delivers a regulated
source of gas through the orice of the
Phasitron® 5 venturi.
WARNING: The longer the Manual
Inspiration button is pressed, the greater the
potential for tidal volume delivery.
WARNING: NOT FOR USE WITH NEONATES
The Operational Pressure knob controls
the peak operating pressure of the entire unit.
The optimal pressure is 40 psi (3.4 bar, 345 kPa)
for Pediatrics and Adults.
