Troubleshooting Section
•
No 0262 codes for the 5 V supply are active.
•
Diagnostic code 0168-01 is not active.
System Respon
se:
If equipped, the diagnostic light will come on. The
diagno stic c
ode will be logged.
The ECM will flag the intake manifold pressure as
being inval
id. A default value is used for the intake
manifold pressure.
Note: Any op
en circuits or short circuits in the signal
wire for the oil pressure may reset the diagnostic.
Possible P
erformance Effect:
For engines with an electronically controlled
wastegate
, the current for the wastegate solenoid
will be set to a default value while this code is active.
This will cause the engine to have poor acceleration.
The defau
lt setting will prevent any overpressure in
the intake manifold which could be caused by an
overspeed of the turbocharger.
The engine will be derated.
Trouble
shooting:
This diagnostic code will detect the loss of the 5 V
supply t
o the sensor.
Perform the following diagnostic procedure: “Engine
Pressu
re Sensor Open or Short Circuit - Test”
Results:
•
OK – STOP.

Conditions Which Generate This Code:
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects the
following condition:
•
The signal voltage for the pressure sensor in the
fuel rail is more than 4.8 VDC for 0.6 seconds.
System Response:
If
equipped, the diagnostic lamp will come on. The
diagnostic code will be logged.
Th
e electronic service tool will display “70000 kPa”
next to “Desired Fuel Rail Pressure” and “Actual Fuel
Rail Pressure” on the status screens.
Possible Pe rformance Effect:
Theenginewillbederated.
Troubleshoot
ing:
This diagnostic code detects an excessively high
voltage from
the fuel rail pressure sensor.
Perform the following diagnostic procedure: “Engine
Pressure Se
nsor Open or Short Circuit - Test”
Results:
•
OK – STOP.

Conditions Which Gen erate This Code:
The Electronic Control Module (ECM) detects the
following conditions:
•
No 0262 codes for the 5 V supply are active.
•
Diagnos
tic code 0168-01 is not active.
•
The signal voltage for the pressure sensor in the
fuel ra
il is less than 0.2 VDC for 0.6 seconds.
System Response:
If equipped, the diagnostic lamp will come on. The
diagnostic code will be logged.
The electronic service tool will display “70000 kPa”
next to “Desired Fuel Rail Pressure” and “Actual Fuel
Rail P
ressure” on the status screens.
Possible Pe rformance Effect:

Trou
bleshooting:
This diagnostic code detects an excessively low
vol
tage from the fuel rail pressure sensor.
Perform the following diagnostic procedure: “Engine
Pre
ssure Sensor Open or Short Circuit - Test”
Results:
•
OK – STOP.
