Attach
the
piece
of
leather
which
is
to
be
embro
idered
onto
cut-away
stabilizer
with
a
fabric
glue
pen
or
textile
adhesive.
You
can
also
use
Filmoplast
adhesive
backing
(see
page
72).
Take
care
to
ensure
that
the
leather
is
stuck
down
flat.
On
very
thick
and
very
stiff
fabrics
we
recom
mend
pressing
the
sew
slow
key
(3)
before
starting
to
sew
and,
where
possible,
to
enlarge
the
embro
idery
motif
to
avoid
needle
breakage
and
extra
perforation
holes
being
made
in
the
leather.
If
the
leather
is
too
thick
to
be
inserted
into
the
hoop/frame,
only
fit
the
fleece
into
the embroidery
hoop and
lay
the
extra
leather
over
the embroidery
unit
so
that
it
does
not
hinder the
feed
of
the hoop
control
when
embroidering.
Tip:
From
time
to
time
the
sewing
foot and
needle
fastening
screws
should
be
tightened
since
when
working
with
thick
materials,
the
sewing
foot
and
the needle
can more
easily
become
loose.
Embroidering
leather
Now
fit
the
fabric
with
the
cut
away stabilizer
into
the embroidery
hoop/frame
and
click
it
into
the
embroidery
unit.
